I direct large-scale quantitative studies of voters and political parties—including the Volebný Kompas voting advice application and the longitudinal Volebný Kompas Panel—and conduct survey experiments, both within these projects and across multiple countries, to examine contemporary challenges to democracy in the 21st century arising from changes in technology, inequality, culture, and governance.

I am focusing on the security and governance challenges posed by social networking platforms and online disinformation ecosystems. My work addresses both the structural vulnerabilities of digital platforms and the societal responses required to mitigate their impact on democratic processes.
