I am a political scientist at the Research and Innovation Center at Matej Bel University, where I also co-founded and co-direct the Institute for Democracy and the Data & Society Lab. I develop and apply empirical methods and instruments to study political behavior, public opinion, party-voter representation, and the security challenges of information and communication technologies across countries, with particular interest in Central and Eastern Europe. I direct the Volebný Kompas Panel, one of the largest longitudinal studies of its kind in Europe.
My work is forthcoming or has appeared in the European Journal of Political Research, Nature Scientific Data, and Lecture Notes in Computer Science, among other venues. I have led or contributed to several international research projects, including co-coordinating the Horizon Europe project BRRIDGE, leading a work package in the Horizon Europe project EMMELO, and coordinating the VAIA-funded POSILA project, among others.
I hold an IBM-funded PhD (with distinction) in International Relations. I graduated from Matej Bel University and King’s College London, and completed further research training in political methodology at Harvard University. I am an affiliate of the European Governance and Politics Programme at the European University Institute and have been a CMDS fellow at the Center for Media, Data and Society at Central European University. I have advised institutions including the European Commission and Meta Platforms. In my work, I strive to cross disciplinary boundaries and work together with people across sectors to create meaningful and impactful change — for my work I was named on the Forbes’ 30 under 30 list.
